the old tree

The old tree behind me has been living there for more than 800 years. People call it the sacred tree in the shrine. Compared with him or her, how short the lives of us human beings are.

In the shrine there is the large lantern made of stone carved animals. It shows the Chinese zodiac: the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and boar.

It was snowing yesterday in Osaka, Japan. We rarely have snow here. I went to the park and practiced Kata "Seinchin".

I don't know the reason why, but I lost my hair in July 2009 and became bald. Thanks to the training in Okinawan Goju-Ryu, my hair is recovering day by day. The color of my hair has changed into white from black. What a strange!

Seinchin has many Shiko-dachi stances, and no kicking at all. If you practice the Kata, your Shiko-dachi stance would be improved. I think Sanchin, Tensho and Seinchin are the so-called Chi-kung. It generates our "Ki" or inner energy of life.
