Nunchaku

In this Kata, we mostly assume fighting with the opponent using Bo (= a staff, a stick, a pole, a baton).

Practice karate in the park

Every Sunday morning I go to the nearby park in Osaka by bicycle. I practice karate and kobudo there with my friend who is 66 years old for about 90 minutes. The main purpose of our practice is for fitness in mind and body.

I performed the same Kata of Nunchaku in 1984 when Seiko Higa’s 50th dojo anniversary demonstration was held in Naha, Okinawa. More than 24 years have passed since then, but I still practice the same Kata even today.
